Ventilation is simply the process of replacing stale air with clean, fresh air. Natural ventilation can achieve this result using wind power.
The highly efficient Turbo Ventura is a free-spinning roof ventilator, naturally powered by the wind, that provides fresh air in your roof space all year your.
It makes your life more comfortable in three ways:
- A more comfortable summer. When used with under eave vents, Turbo Ventura replaces super heated attic air with fresh air. This lowers roof space temperatures by up to 15°C, in turn, reducing the amount of heat radiating into living areas.
- Lower energy bills. Without roof space ventilation, air conditioners are forced to work harder. An efficient natural ventilation system is capable of reducing the need for summer air conditioning - an important environmental outcome.
- Less roof space condensation. During the colder months, water vapour from showers and cooking is drawn into roof spaces and can condense to form up to 12 litres of moisture per day. This can affect roof timbers, insulation, paintwork, and wiring.
PERFORMANCE FAR ABOVE ITS SIZE
The Turbo Ventura was designed in Australia by Edmonds. It has a 150mm throat which, while smaller than conventional domestic turbine ventilators, is compensated by its vertical vane design. This enables efficient operation at very low wind speeds - when most ventilators are not spinning.

- Attractive Appearance. The size of the Turbo Ventura means that it blends subtely with most roof types.
- Unique Design. The vertical vane design and polycarbonate construction ensure efficient air movement. Two permanently lubricated bearings ensure a smooth and effective air flow.
- Won't rust, corrode or crack. The special polycarbonate composition cannot rust or corrode. The internal bracing is reinforced to prevent stress cracking.
- Withstands severe wind and rain. In Independent laboratory trials, Turbo Ventura withstood wind velocities of 240km/hr and satisfied the Dynamic Rain Penetration Test.
